3 Pairs of Eyes

We need to live each day with 3 pairs of eyes in this life

1 pair on the present in your eye sockets, in this life to keep looking forward.

1 pair on the world as a whole, just ever spinning... slowly, the vastness... so that you never forget how deep the lostness, how many, how many need to hear the gospel, who need food.
Let me paint for you a picture... imagine dark skinned children, white skinned little children, all types of little children... imagine them gaunt, leaning over on their knees and with their frail arms over their bellies... imagine their aches so bad that they are even unable to cry.  Now imagine billions of these, covering fields, so tired that they are sleeping in waste water.  If this can break your heart... does it break you heart that your brothers and sisters across the world are starving from not being fed with Jesus?  The sheep of christ are starving, even among us now.  Does it break your heart that my mother is ceaselessly trapped?  and yet she serves the world asking for nothing in return and cries in her lonesomeness unable to share her pains with anyone?

1 pair of eyes on the gates of heaven, so that we do not forget eternity and what we are truly living for --Jesus.

(its crazy to think that God designed some animals to have eyes like this!)

But ultimately we need all of our eyes fixed upon Jesus!  This will keep us.  This will keep us going and afloat.
